Abstract

PhD Candidate Jennifer Ryan will be discussing different motor learning strategies in pediatric rehabilitation.

Biography

Jennifer Ryan is a PhD Candidate in the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at University of Toronto and has been a physiotherapist on the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital since 2006. Her PhD research is evaluating the feasibility of transcranial direct current stimulation as an adjunct to physiotherapy in children and youth with moderate to severe acquired brain injury. Jennifer’s PhD co-supervisors are Dr Virginia Wright and Dr Deryk Beal. Jennifer is a recipient of a CIHR Doctoral Award and the Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program Career Enhancement Award. Her research is funded by the Holland Bloorview Centre for Leadership and Dr Wright’s Holland Bloorview Children’s Foundation Chair in Pediatric Rehabilitation
