INESSS-ONF Partnership

The Institut national d'excellence en santé et en services sociaux (INESSS) and the former Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF) partnered to facilitate the process surrounding the joint production of a clinical practice guideline intended for clinicians and administrators delivering rehabilitation services to adults having sustained a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Both organizations had a common interest in supporting their stakeholders to enhance rehabilitation practice by providing them with a locally relevant, evidence-informed clinical practice guideline (CPG). The partners also had common interest to foster capacity within the rehabilitation sector for implementation of the CPG, and to support this by developing indicators to inform process and outcome measurement of the recommended practices.
