Managing research citations is an essential part of the research process. Citation management tools help you collect your journal article, book, or other document citations together in one place. They can also help you create properly formatted bibliographies in almost any style in seconds.

This one-hour session will introduce you to free citation management tools, with a focus on Mendeley and Zotero, and discuss how they can be used to help organize your research.

This workshop will help you:

  1. Understand the basic principles of bibliographic citation management tools
  2.  Collect citations from library databases and websites
  3. Add and manage notes and attachments to collected citations
  4. Easily create bibliographies and in-text citations
  5. Share resources with colleagues
