Research Ethics Board
What We Do
The Research Ethics Board (REB) ensures that research involving human participants conducted within the University Health Network (UHN) meets the required standards of ethical and research conduct. Effective 2026 Rehabilitation research is now reviewed by Panel A & B.
Our Goals
By dedicating a specialized board with knowledge and experience in rehab studies to review submissions from the Kite Research Institute, our goal is to minimize delays between initial submission and institutional approval.
MEETING DATES AND SUBMISSION DEADLINES
Meeting dates and deadlines for submission are posted on the research intranet at the Meeting Dates and Deadlines Portal.
Pre-Submission Review Of Reb Application
KITE provides pre-submission review of REB applications for completeness and consistency to minimize delays in the review process. Review is available to KITE scientists and trainees with all their research ethics board application needs from conceptualization to institutional approval.
