KITE conducts tours of its research facilities on a regular basis. It’s a great way to visit our facilities, meet our scientists, and learn about cutting-edge research. If you would like to request a tour of the iDAPT Centre for Rehabilitation Research and the Challenging Environment Assessment Lab (CEAL), please contact Janitha Shanmugarajan.
Welcome to the virtual tour of our Challenging Environment Assessment Laboratory (CEAL) facility, located two stories below the busy University Avenue in Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. Here, researchers uncover the science behind falls and rediscover what it means to stay safe in different environments.
CEAL is best known for its four state-of-the-art labs equipped with motion capture technology, that can be placed on a massive motion platform. Take a virtual walk through this fascinating space and get a behind the scenes look at the technology, equipment and capabilities that put KITE on the map as the top rehab research institute in Canada.

The kYI is a youth outreach program at Toronto Rehab devoted to promoting STEAM.
Our program hosts visits to our research facilities where students can visit our state-of-the-art labs and meet with our researchers. Through our interactive and hands-on activities, students are presented with opportunities to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions for tackling real world problems.
