Reimagining Dementia: Art Exhibition & Film Screening

Reimagining Dementia: A Creative Coalition for Justice will hosting an art exhibition and film screening will at Fairview Library Theatre in celebration of World Alzheimer's Day.

Kevin Whitaker, Andrea Beggs, Members of the Bitove Method, Eiko Hamasaki, Reclaiming Citizenship Through the Arts Project, Sharing Our Voices, and others living with dementia art will be showcased during exhibition from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. Refreshments will be provided.

The following films will shown from 7:30pm to 9pm with a Q&A session taking place afterwards.

A film by members of Reimagining Dementia. An original song and video that uses the power of creativity to help create a more just, caring, and inclusive society for everyone impacted by dementia. 



Chasing Monsters: Parkinson's and the Power of Art

A film by Jeana McCabe. After former Ontario superior court judge Kevin Whitaker was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's, he embraced painting with passion and commitment.

A film by Anthony Grani. Celebrating the power of dance to support creativity, joy, playfulness, community, and connection for people living with dementia and their careers.
