This year, when a 3-person IT department was reduced to 1, Darek Wojtowicz took sole responsibility of managing the iDAPT Help Support centre for several months. Regardless of any challenges, he was always committed to helping our team with any of our concerns patiently and graciously.
Yesterday, at The Kite Research Institute Holiday Potluck, our Director, Dr. Milos R. Popovic, presented the Unsung Hero Staff Recognition Award to Darek for his commitment to helping our research teams operate more effectively and helping nurturing a positive corporate culture.
“Darek's door is always open except, he says, when management is visiting him!" "I value Darek's work, his patience, his concern for privacy and his desire to share his knowledge. His work goes a long way to help my workday be productive and trouble-free,” said several nominations.
Darek is The Kite Research Institute's Senior Systems Analyst and has been with us for over 17 years. "This was so unexpected. I am incredibly grateful for this award and thank everyone so much for the nominations. I am happy to continue to support The Kite Research Institute family."
