ICAIR 2022 Postponed

Dear colleagues,

I regret to inform everyone in the KITE community that the International Conference on Aging, Innovation and Rehabilitation (ICAIR), slated for May 16, 2022, will not proceed as planned.

Due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, the Director’s Office has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event. Unfortunately, this is the second time we have had to cancel ICAIR. After nearly two years of living with COVID, we had hoped to be able to proceed, but Omicron is much more infectious than anything we have seen before.

Thank you to everyone on the ICAIR organizing committee who worked tirelessly behind the scenes over the last several months – and to everyone else who is continuing to carry out important research under difficult circumstances. I remain optimistic that sometime in the not-too-distant future all of us will be able to gather again in-person to showcase our incredible people and the innovative science taking place at KITE.

In the meantime, we all must do our part to help prevent transmission of the variant. Please remember to keep your distance, wear a mask and work from home. In fact, all members of KITE who can work from home should continue doing so now.

Sincerely,

Milos
