The KITE scientist brings a wealth of expertise in rehabilitation sciences, epidemiology, and health services research to the program.

We are excited to announce the recruitment of Dr. Vincy Chan as a new Scientist within the LIFEspan program. Dr. Chan brings a wealth of expertise in rehabilitation sciences, epidemiology, and health services research, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team.
Dr. Chan completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Toronto in 2016. She also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto (2012), and an Honours BSc in Psychology and Health Studies from the University of Toronto (2010).
In her current role as a Principal Investigator, Dr. Chan leads a longitudinal, population-based birth cohort study funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The project focuses on understanding long-term health service use after sustaining a traumatic brain injury during childhood and adolescence. She is also a co-investigator on a CIHR-funded symposium addressing next-generation rehabilitation interventions for pediatric concussion.
Dr. Chan holds a variety of academic and research positions, including Scientist at KITE-Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, University Health Network, Associate Professor (Status) at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto, and Associate Director of the Acquired Brain Injury Research Lab at the University of Toronto. She has also held several academic appointments at Ontario Tech University as an Adjunct Professor and Associate Member.
We are confident that Dr. Chan's exceptional research experience and leadership will contribute significantly to the continued success and growth of the LIFEspan program.
