Dr. Mihailidis is the Barbara G. Stymiest Chair in Rehabilitation Technology, and Team Leader for the Artificial Intelligence & Robotics Team. He is faculty in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy and Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering. He is also the Scientific Director of the AGE-WELL Network of Centres of Excellence. Alex’s research focuses on supporting older adults to live more independently and safely in their own homes and communities. This includes applying artificial intelligence and sensors to monitor the wellness of these individuals, and developing tools that can automatically predict changes in their health.
