Kara Patterson

Dr. Patterson is a Scientist at KITE on the mobility team and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, University of Toronto. The overall goal of Kara’s research program is to advance neurorehabilitation practice in order to improve gait and mobility outcomes for people living with neurological conditions. Her current work is exploring the link between rhythm abilities (like tapping your foot to music) and the rhythmic timing of the walking pattern, as well as the use of dance to improve gait and balance.
