Biography

Dr. Janine Farragher is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. She completed a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Toronto, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. Dr. Farragher’s research applies an occupational lens to understand the experience of chronic kidney disease and dialysis treatment. She led the development of a web-based energy management program (The “PEP” Program) designed to improve the management of fatigue in people on chronic dialysis. Dr. Farragher’s research also investigates other biopsychosocial factors (including cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental factors) that impact occupation in people on chronic dialysis, and rehabilitative interventions to improve their occupational performance and engagement. For more information on all our Leadership Rehab Rounds visit our homepage.
