Read moreThe KITE Research Institute at the University Health Network is pleased to serve as a Beachhead within envisAGE, a pan-Canadian Network that is catalyzing Canada's AgeTech ecosystem by helping companies deliver technology solutions that will make a difference in the lives of older adults and their caregivers.
The envisAGE initiative is co-led by MEDTEQ+, a leader in accelerating innovation and supporting entrepreneurs in the Canadian MedTech industry, and AGE-WELL, Canada's leading research and innovation network in AgeTech. It is funded through the federal government's Strategic Innovation Fund.
In its role as a Beachhead, KITE shares its expertise in the measurement and evaluation of the implementation of new technologies with small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have been selected for funding as part of collaborative projects. Beachheads measure the effectiveness of SMEs' technologies in Community Labs – real-world settings that provide services and care to older adults and caregivers, including long-term care facilities, retirement communities and homes.
