Power Play aims to accelerate the development and commercial success of concepts, prototypes and other innovations in the health care space
The organizing committee of the International Conference on Aging, Innovation and Rehabilitation (ICAIR) is pleased to announce today the finalists for the Power Play Pitch Competition.
Power Play is a Dragon’s Den-style event that helps drive the development and commercial success of existing startup companies and provides seed funding for entrepreneurs with innovative concept ideas in the health, rehab and age-tech sectors.
The competition is scheduled to take place at ICAIR on Tuesday, May 7 and is sponsored by the Toyota Mobility Foundation, which recently partnered with the MaRS Discovery District, the KITE Research Institute and others to establish the Mobility Unlimited Hub in Toronto.
Power Play sees innovators vie for a total of $50,000 in prizes in two categories: The Innovative Concept, and The Innovative Start-up. A total of 10 applicants in each category are selected as finalists for Power Play each year with an additional five in those categories invited to present their visions for the future of healthcare during a pitch competition at ICAIR.
