Biography

Dr. Sheryl Spithoff is a family physician at Women’s College Hospital and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She has a New Investigator research award from the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Her areas of research include: access to care for people with substance use disorder and the impact of commercial interests on health and the healthcare system. She has written a number of commentaries and newspaper articles for Canadian media organizations and recently completed a certificate program in journalism through the Munk School of Global Affairs and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
